CME ACCREDITATION AND CREDIT DESIGNATION STATEMENT FOR PHYSICIANS

EACCME
Excellence in osteoporosis – optimizing patient outcomes made available on www.intmedpress.com/osteoporosis-online is accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) to provide the following CME activity for medical specialists.

Each medical specialist should claim only those credits that he/she actually spent in the educational activity. The EACCME is an institution of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS). This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the Institute for Medical and Nursing Education (IMNE) and International Medical Press (IMP). IMNE is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians. IMNE designates this educational activity for a maximum of 4 AMA PRA Category 1 creditsTM.

Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

HOW TO CLAIM CREDITS

European CME Credit (ECMEC)
Certificates will be issued after completion of the assessment at the end of course(s) ‘Why do bones fracture?’, ‘Diagnosis and assessing fracture risk’ and ‘Considerations in the clinic’. Please email info@intmedpress.com to receive your accreditation certificate.

Users from Europe
The EACCME is an institution of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS) and operates by reciprocal agreement for recognising CME credits across Europe. More information can be found at www.uems.net

Users from the USA
Through an agreement between the UEMS and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert EACCME credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Information on the process can be found at www.ama-assn.org/go/internationalcme

CME accreditation by the EACCME and ECMECs are recognised internationally by many national authorities across the globe. Please check with your local authority to confirm its validity for your purposes.

To claim AMA CME credits, please complete the assessment at the end of the program. Once you have completed the assessment you will be asked to fill out the post-activity evaluation form. Completion of this form will allow you to download your CME certificate.
