Co-Morbidities and Adverse Drug Reactions in HIV
The Workshop

2022 Workshop

The Organizing Committee for the Workshop recognize the importance of SARS-CoV-2 and particularly the potential prolonged health consequences of this infection, now collectively referred to as Post-Acute Sequelae of SARS-CoV-2 infection or PASC. To that end the Committee thinks that it is vital and important to expand the scope of the Workshop that formerly focused on co-morbidities of HIV to now also include those of SARS-CoV-2. Accordingly, the Workshop will now be called the International Workshop on Long-term Complications of HIV and SARS-CoV-2.

The format and goals that have underpinned this successful meeting for 23 years will remain.

About the Workshop

For 23 consecutive years the International Workshop has served as the main international arena for the presentation and discussion of scientific and clinical data on metabolic complications, lipodystrophy, co-morbidities and related topics in HIV. The need for continued discussion and sharing of experiences in caring for HIV-infected individuals remains, and this Workshop continues to provide the ideal setting. Importantly it will now also address the long-term complications of SARS-CoV-2.

A wide range of professionals from across the world, from physicians and scientists to community groups and industry personnel will again attend in 2021. Delegates will be able to engage in a combination of plenary sessions and presentations selected from abstracts, poster sessions and extensive discussion periods in order to facilitate peer-to-peer interactions and shared learnings.
