About Antiviral Therapy

Several journals now deal exclusively with the chemistry, design and preclinical development of antiviral agents. Previously, however, publications concerning clinical aspects of antiviral therapy have been dispersed among a wide range of different journals, making it increasingly difficult to keep abreast of this mutidisciplinary field.

Antiviral Therapy (an official publication of the International Society of Antiviral Research) is the first international journal solely devoted to the clinical development and use of antiviral agents. It publishes original scientific papers in all therapeutic areas including

♦ Viral diagnostics and individualization of antiviral therapy
♦ Study design issues in the clinical assessment of antivirals
♦ Antiviral drug safety and safety monitoring
♦ Mechanisms of resistance to antiviral agents

Antiviral Therapy also features review articles, editorials, book reviews and a letters section to provide a forum for discussion.

Antiviral Therapy is abstracted by Index Medicus/MEDLINE, Current Contents/Clinical Medicine, EMBASE/Exerpta Medica, SciSearch, Research Alert and Chemical Abstracts. 

Access

Antiviral Therapy has an open archive initiative wherein research articles are freely accessible after 12 months of their print publication date. We also extend open access to all articles, regardless of age, to developing nations via HINARI, which provides free on-line access to institutions within countries whose resources would otherwise prevent them from subscribing and accessing journal content.
